Canvas Paintings

It’s impossible to fully capture the size and magic of nature, but it doesn’t stop me from trying. I mostly paint scenes from my hikes around the Rocky Mountains on large format canvases in acrylic and oils. Each one is ready to hang in your home as a window into the beautiful outdoors.

Little Pine Tree Haven

Location: Two Jack Lake, Banff
Size: 30x48x1.5
Material: Oil on canvas, wrapped painted edges

Two Jack Lake is my favourite place to visit, camp and paddle board. It truly feels like paradise here. I always make time to visit this little pine tree haven - because it not only feels like you’re in a secret spot, but it’s so fun to jump across the rocks to get there. So I made the rocks out of clay so that you too could jump over them, even if it’s in your imagination. The rainbow-hued sky brings a sense of wonder, a feeling I hope shines through in every brushstroke of my art.

Spirit of the Climb

Location: Moraine Lake Mountain Peaks
Size: 48x30x1.5”
Material: Oil on canvas, Black edges

If you’re ever lucky enough to visit Moraine Lake, you’ll find a place that feels like pure magic. Over my three visits, I’ve had the thrill of paddleboarding (and dipping in) its pristine waters and hiking the breathtaking trails to Eiffel Lake, Larch Valley and Sentinel Pass. Each journey left me more inspired and in awe. The peaks stay snow-capped all summer, but the warm sunshine makes everything glisten. I invite you to connect with the Spirit of the Climb - a journey of clearing the mind, healing the heart, and embracing the beauty in every step.

Castle Mountain Lullaby

Location: Castle Mountain, Banff
Size: 36x24x4”
Material: Acrylic on canvas, gold leaf accents, sky painted edges

Castle Mountain’s towering silhouette is breathtaking. The hiking trail to the base of the rocks is steep and offers a spectacular view of the Bow Valley Parkway, and where you can almost touch the clouds. This painting brings that feeling to life with its textured, 3-D surface— created by carving insulation to capture the mountain's rugged formations. Snow-dusted peaks glisten under the golden light of a moon, inviting you to let your imagination wander and dream.

Forest’s Embrace

Location: Lake Louise, Banff
Size: 30x40x1.5”
Material: Oil on canvas, Black edges

Lake Louise is beaming with beauty, with towering mountains, trees and countless trails to get you exploring. When I hike here I feel invigorated by the swaying trees and the amazing forest floor. I sculpted the foreground trees from clay, and I love touching it, as it feels like bark. The path is strewn with little clay flowers and rocks with dappled sunlight. I hope this forest invites you into its embrace.

First Snowfall

Location: Rawson Lake, Kananaskis
Size: 24x36x1.5”
Material: Acrylic on canvas, wrapped painted edges

This painting was inspired from an amazing hike with my family to Rawson Lake. It was early October, and we were met with sunshine, rain, sleet and the first snowfall of the season. It was spectacular to see the colours come alive and even more so to breathe in all that pine tree freshness. I just loved how the heaviness of the new fresh snow gently blanketed the pine branches. I hope this piece captures that peaceful moment.
