Thank you for dropping in to see what I create in my little studio. I hope you will enjoy my handmade work. Each piece is imperfect, unique, and crafted with passion.

Artist Lala, about: my heart beats for the mountains and forests of Banff. It's in these rugged and serene landscapes that I truly feel whole. Hiking through towering pines, camping beside turquoise lakes, and creating forest art.

My art is inspired from the wonder, beauty and energy I feel from spending time wandering in Banff and Kananaskis. Hiking through towering pines, camping beside turquoise lakes, and simply breathing in the fresh mountain air fuels my creativity. I work with acrylic, oil, and clay, building layered textures and sculpted elements to translate emotion into tactile, immersive artworks.

I grew up in Winnipeg spending summers camping and playing in the trees. After University, marriage and a move to Calgary, I devoted my time to my career, and young family - and art became my little escape. Over the years, I developed as a self-taught artist, driven by curiosity and experimentation through late-night sessions, online learning, and immersive creative weekends.

Today, I nourish my soul with daily creativity and nature. It’s with this renewed focus and guidance from The Artist's Way, along with some very special people, that I’ve found the confidence to share my art with the world.

My art is the best way for me to stay in nature, long after I’ve gone home. I hope it inspires in you the same love for nature's beauty.

Artist Lala in her little studio, creating forest inspired art. The quiet sanctuary and safe place of this art studio wrapped in forest green, helps calm my mind, make me present as I work with my hands and be thankful for what I have.

Please pop by again soon, as my handmade goods change often. Until then, stay rooted in nature and smell the pine needles.
